I initially purchased the Brita version of this filter and it didn't work, it seems like the fitting was different although they guarantee it will fit. If you have a GE monogram fridge this is the filter you need.

The Brita filter did not fit my GE Profile. I was replacing a GWF GE filter. Brita has a money back guarantee which I had to take advantage of because I could not get the Brita to flow water. I ended up buying the GE replacement for the GWF, the MWF filter. No problems with that filter.

We just switched from the GE filter to Brita and couldn't be happier. The Brita-filtered water comes out crystal clear and tastes delicious - much better than the GE-filtered water.

Installation was easy, just follow the advice of Paul Gifford (April 29, 2008 review). I think the water flow is slightly better as well.

The price on Amazon cannot be beat, either. Much less expensive than the GE filter.
